Tipton County Fire Receives First Fire Pumper

Tipton County Fire recently just took delivery of its first Fire Pumper. The truck is a 2020 Freight-liner/Midwest Pumper-Tanker. The truck carries up to five personnel, 2000 gallons of water with a 1250 GPM fire pump. This piece of equipment will be placed in the southwest rural portion of the County to help with fire suppression and an array of emergency calls. The truck was approved by the County Commission, custom ordered in February of 2019 and purchased for $290,000. The truck will be equipped to handle fire, EMS and extrication calls as well as a support vehicle to neighboring Fire Departments. 

Midwest Fire is a custom fire apparatus manufacturing facility located in Luvern, Minnesota.
