Summary of Duties:  Administers and directs all program, financial, budgeting, public relations, fundraising, and personnel activities for the organization and is responsible for the administrative affairs of Keep Tipton Beautiful

Job Description: 

  • Oversee grassroots community improvement program to promote litter prevention, beautification, and waste reduction and recycling  
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Keep Tipton Beautiful
  • Maintain and train board of directors for continued operation of non-profit organization
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans
  • Develop relationships with government agencies, school districts, businesses, civic associations, and media in order to encourage participation in community workdays and events
  • Develop programs for public awareness, fund development, education, and special events
  • Oversee the administration of the annual budget including grants and contracts
  • Coordinate and promote Keep America Beautiful programs and other community development initiatives or projects
  • Prepare annual and semi-annual reports to maintain certification in local, state, and national programs
  • Perform other duties as determined from time to time by the Tipton County Executive

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of community development or volunteer work or four years of experience in working with community or local government foundations, agencies, or volunteer work
  • Operate a personal computer using word processing and spreadsheet software, ability to work with private and public entities, ability to organize projects and document results and statistics, ability to lift at least 30 lb. boxes, maintain appropriate driver’s license and have a good driving record.  Must pass a background check and a drug test.
